ABOUT ME
With over 25 years experience teaching and film-making, I have developed the programs and tools to empower burgeoning filmmakers to create engaging and narratively effective stories – stories that punch well above their weight. As a certified high school teacher and university instructor for twenty years, in the U.S., U.K., and Canada, I have taught students at all levels from youth, to adults.
A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts' film/TV program, I spent two years working in the Warner Bros. Story Department as a script-reader and direct assistant to the head – a position that put me directly in the decision-making process of green lighting screenplay properties. While this experience proved invaluable to me, what was even more valuable was my second job there: research assistant to legendary director Stanley Kubrick – a veritable film school education in and of itself.
